Friday Jan 25th

Registration trailer open from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Practice time for racers – conditions permitting

 

All skaters are advised to wear a helmet, this is mandatory for skaters under 18 years

Saturday Jan 26th—Race Day # 1

Registration Trailer opens at 7:30 am,  

Note: Registration closes 30 minutes prior to start of all races

 

Opening ceremonies: 8:30 am, National Anthem – Rasa Krokys

NOTE: It is not necessary to wear “Speed Skates” to participate in any of the Skate the Lake races, a good 40-50% of the skaters are wearing hockey or figure skating skates, it’s the participation that is important

Spectator ActivitiesThere are a lot of activities for non-skaters to do: Sleigh rides, Curling for the kids, and Hockey rink. Come and try your hand at “Ice Stock”, new food & Skate the Lake concessions. Coffee & hot chocolate provided by Tim Horton’s on Beckwith St. Smiths Falls.
